'Supplier Diversity Europe is committed to fostering an environment amongst participating organisations that will offer under-represented and minority businesses the same opportunity to compete for the supply of quality goods and services as other suppliers.
By tapping the unique expertise of businesses owned by under-represented groups, participating organisations will gain access to innovative ideas, a broader customer base and new avenues of opportunity, all of which will enable them to better serve their customers, stakeholders and the community.'
Supplier Diversity Europe's aims and objectives:
Supplier Diversity Europe aims to provide strategic, practical and public policy support for building Supplier Diversity programmes in Europe. Pilots are being run in the UK and also Germany, France, the Netherlands and Sweden. The objective is to tackle challenging issues such as options for the verification and certification of under-represented minority businesses, the creation of appropriate databases and building the business case for Supplier Diversity. In addition, Supplier Diversity Europe aims to make realistic and achievable recommendations to a range of agencies and institutions at both European Union and national government levels.
