To build European initiatives amongst the members, the Forum will:
Increase understanding within the membership of the cultural environment of those European countries in which pilots are being conducted, and across Europe as a whole;
Construct the business case for doing so;
Build the capacity of members to deliver Supplier Diversity programmes in Europe;
Enable members to measure their programme against best practice benchmarks.
To create relationships with potential diverse suppliers, the Forum will:
Provide a reference point on suppliers in Europe, through this website;
Lay the foundations for a database of potential suppliers and intermediary organisations; conduct pilots, initially in five European countries - the UK, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands and France;
Organise a series of roundtable dialogues with potential suppliers and/or intermediary organisations in the above five countries;
Research and recommend a flexible but robust framework for registration and certification of diverse supplier companies.
To inform key audiences, the Forum plan to:
Raise awareness and build support for Supplier Diversity amongst governments at national and European level;
Recommend a public policy options to push the Supplier Diversity agenda forward;
Build and execute a communications strategy to encourage other companies and public bodies to build and execute their Supplier Diversity programme.
