Legal seminar

The European Network of Legal Experts in the Non-discrimination Field held its annual legal seminar on the transposition of Directives 2000/43 and 2000/78 on 13 February 2007 in Brussels.

The event brought together the legal experts from 25 EU Member States, EU and national officials, members of NGOs and equality bodies and discussed the challenges of transposing the directives.

Workshops were held on strategic enforcement, positive action and race and ethnic discrimination outside the employment sphere.

Recent publications of the network include the latest issue of the bi-annual Law Review, the latest issue of the annual comparative analysis and thematic reports on equality bodies as catalysts for change, on measuring discrimination and data collection and on religion and belief provisions in the Employment Equality Directive.
