Supplier Diversity enters the Games

7 March 2007

MPG's corporate project contributes to Supply Chain Diversity of London Olympics

Supplier Diversity Europe, an MPG branded project, is a strategic partner in an exciting new international programme to prepare London's diverse businesses for winning buisness around London 2012.

The programme, called International Gateway 4 Suppliers, will be led by GLE oneLondon, and has just won funding, against fierce competition, from the Opportunities Fund of the London Development Agency (LDA).

International Gateway 4 Suppliers will help businesses maximise international trade opportunities offered by the 2008 Beijing and 2010 New Delhi Games - and the domestic procurement possibilities of London 2012. The programme will also contribute to diversity in the procurement supply-chain for 2012. The project offers sustainability to London businesses through access to further events.

Supplier Diversity Europe's involvement:

GLE OneLondon approached MPG last year requesting participation as their strategic partner as they prepared their response to the tender for funding. As an independent, not-for-profit, non-government organisation, MPG and Supplier Diversity Europe were viewed as a vital link to their supplier diversity agenda.

Supplier Diversity Europe will be part of the programme's Strategic Steering Group, participate in quarterly meetings, provide strategic advice regarding supplier diversity agenda and lead the programme on supplier diversity.
