European Integration Forum logoThe third edition of the Handbook on Integration for Policy-makers and Practitioners, written by MPG's Jan Niessen and Thomas Huddleston, was distributed in all EU languages at the third European Integration Forum held on June 24-25 in Brussels.

MPG Director, Jan Niessen, was invited to address the Forum to elaborate on the topic of Mass media and integration, drawing on the second chapter of the latest Handbook.

The platform for dialogue on migrant integration, attended by EU officials including European Commissioner for Home Affairs, Cecilia Mamström, and President of ECOSOC, Mario Sepi, gathered an audience of over a hundred civil society organisations and stakeholders to express their views on migrant integration issues with representatives of the European institutions.  Click here to learn more about the European Integration Forum.

Integration Handbook III coverAbout the Handbooks on Integration

The Handbooks on Integration act as a driver for exchange of information and best practice, and enable the development and promotion of policy initiatives. The three editions of the Handbooks are collaborative products of the European Commission, the National Contact Points on Integration, and MPG as independent consultant, all of whom can be seen as "editors" of the Handbooks.

The third edition of the Handbook was published in April 2010. The second edition was published in May 2007 and the first edition was published in November 2004.
