On 10 and 11 September 2013, the Dialogue Forum on Discrimination will take place in Nevsehir (Cappadoce, Turkey). This Dialogue is part of the “Parliamentary Exchange and Dialogue”, a joint project of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (GNAT) and the European Union. The Parliamentary Exchange Dialogue aims at maximising the role of GNAT in the process of EU membership negotiations by promoting dialogue among the members of the parliaments in the EU member states and Turkey as well as MEPs.
MPG’s Deputy Director Isabelle Chopin has been invited as a speaker at the event. She will present the state of transposition and implementation of the two anti-discrimination directives (Directives 2000-43 and 2000-78) in the EU member states and draw conclusions regarding the main gaps in the transposition process or the best practices.
