Description

The Seminar aims to provide representatives of governments, equality bodies, members of the two Networks of legal experts, and other stakeholders of all EU Member States, with an opportunity to exchange views on the transposition and implementation of EU equality and anti-discrimination Directives; to discuss the future of EU equality and anti-discrimination law in the context of moving towards a coherent approach across all grounds; to share experience between the different forms of discrimination; and to consider the key issues addressed by EU equality and anti-discrimination laws. The seminar will also be an opportunity to present and discuss products of the two Networks of Independent Legal Experts.

The seminar is organised by the European Network of Independent Legal Experts in the non-discrimination field on the grounds of race or ethnic origin, age, disability, religion or belief and sexual orientation (managed by Migration Policy Group and the Human European Consultancy) and the European Commission, in cooperation with the European Network of Legal Experts in the field of gender equality (managed by the Faculty of Law of Utrecht University).
