Summary
PASOS (Policy Association for an Open Society), together with the CRPM (Center for Research and Policy Making), is holding an international conference on Open Government, Deeper Democracy – Strengthening civil society actors in opening up policymaking. Think-tanks and policy-makers will be in attendance from the Western Balkans, Eastern Europe, Central Asia and South Caucasus.
Description
Thomas Huddleston will present MPG’s experience piloting the Migrant Integration Policy Index in these regions, during the second morning plenary on Mobility and Integration of Migrants through Participatory Policymaking. For emerging countries of immigration outside the EU, MIPEX serves as an international tool for more participatory policymaking on migrant integration through think-tank monitoring of policies and implementation. This monitoring also covers the opportunities for immigrants’ participation in policymaking.
