A comparative analysis of the implementation of EU non-discrimination law in the EU Member States, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Montenegro, Norway, Serbia and Turkey has been published by the European network of legal experts in gender equality and non-discrimination. The Comparative analysis, drafted by Isabelle Chopin and Catharina Germaine (Migration Policy Group) draws from the information contained in the 35 country reports of the Network to provide a detailed overview of the state of transposition and implementation of the Racial Equality Directive (2000/43/EC) and of the Employment Equality Directive (2000/78/EC) across Europe. On the basis of the provisions of the Directives, CJEU case-law and relevant principles and concepts, the Comparative analysis explores general trends across the EU Member States, candidate countries and EEA countries and highlights examples of good practice as well as issues of concern whether in legislation, case-law or practice.
