Comparing and measuring integration

2013-08-12-Integrationspolitik.pdf - Adobe ReaderThis short paper first proposes how a definition of integration can be developed by a variety of actors, in such a way that it reflects these actors’ mandate and mission. It then argues that all integration may be local but that not all policies are local. Finally it gives an example how integration policies can be compared and measured using the MIPEX – the Migrant Integration Policy Index.

The paper was written for an international conference organised by the Ministry of Integration of Baden-Württemberg, organised in the framework of the 60th anniversary of Baden-Württemberg.
