Disability law and reasonable accommodation beyond employment

3795-disability-law-and-reasonable-accommodation-beyond-employment-google-chromeA new thematic report has been published by the European network of legal experts in gender equality and non-discrimination, authored by Lisa Waddington and Andrea Broderick with the assistance of Anne Poulos. The report examines the international legal framework of relevance for the rights and integration of persons with disabilities beyond the field of employment, most importantly the UN Convention on Rights of Persons with Disabilities. In addition, it provides a legal analysis of the national frameworks in the 28 EU Member States with regard to obligations to provide reasonable accommodation for people with disabilities in the fields of education, social protection and access to and supply of goods and services.
