At the 68th session of the UN General Assembly, Member States have unanimously adopted a Declaration of High-level Dialogue on International Migration and Development that calls for the respect of human rights and international labour standards, reiterates the commitment to fight human trafficking and strongly condemns manifestations of racism and intolerance; and stresses the need for intensifying cooperation between governments and civil society organisation to find responses to the challenges and the opportunities posed by international migration.
MPG’s three work programmes support this agenda and focus on the respect of fundamental rights and the fight against discrimination; the implementation of migration and mobility regimes; and the promotion of integration and well-being.
