Out now! New handbook and toolkit for newcomer entrepreneurship support
For the past two years, the Newcomer Entrepreneurship Support (NES) project has been working to promote the untapped potential for growth and social inclusion that lies in the migrant and refugee entrepreneurship sector, helping actors to improve their incubation and acceleration services and build comprehensive support environments.
The project ran in 5 countries with 7 partner organisations, involving more than 120 representatives of organisations supporting newcomer businesses, policy stakeholders and researchers. It implemented 5 pilot actions and was able to reach over 90 newcomer businesses.
The project culminated in the release of the NES handbook and toolkit, which were published online at the close of the project, sharing guidelines, practical recommendations, infographics and examples of good practices for incubators and support organisations. An interactive version of the handbook is also available.
The NES project was coordinated by the Migration Policy Group (MPG), Belgium, in conjunction with Kompass and Unternehmer ohne Grenzen in Germany, Agence pour la Diversite Entrepreneuriale (ADIVE) and GRDR in France, Fondazione ISMU in Italy, NyföretagarCentrum in Sweden, and The Entrepreneurial Refugee Network (TERN) in the United Kingdom. The project was funded by JP Morgan.
