Building on MPG’s long-standing commitment to investigating and fostering the political participation of migrants and their access to citizenship, this multiannual programme produces comparative knowledge on the participation of New Europeans and supports their civic and political engagement at both the EU and national levels. 

• conduct research into the policies and best practices to enhance the civic and political participation of New Europeans. 
• bring together policymakers and civil society actors – including New European leaders –  to discuss obstacles for participation and how to overcome them.  
• conduct training activities for New Europeans and relevant civil society organisations
