Maslanik utilise MIPEX to map political mobilization and in\/exclusion trends for migrants in Poland, Germany, Spain, and Sweden.\u00a0The study finds that post-colonial and guest-worker immigration from outside the EU, along with influxes of refugees and asylum seekers, has resulted in an increasing socio-political polarization and weakening social cohesion and inclusion, in EU member states. This has led to as rise in racism, Islamophobia, and discrimination against those with migratory status&#8217; and transpiring into their lower educational attainments, lower job placement rates, and less political participation and representation. One example is sexual and reproductive health education was often found lacking in cultural understanding, negatively impacting young people\u2019s attitudes and behaviours towards family planning services and sexual health clinics.\u00a0To ensure migrant and refugee youth\u2019s access to sexual and reproductive health services, the authors of the review advocate prioritising youth perspectives and collaboratively designing policies and programs that adequately address their needs and rights.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text]<div class=\"vcex-spacing wpex-w-100 wpex-clear\" style=\"height:30px;\"><\/div><div class=\"theme-button-wrap textcenter wpex-clr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/3J312I4\" class=\"vcex-button theme-button align-center inline\"><span class=\"vcex-button-inner theme-button-inner wpex-flex wpex-flex-wrap wpex-items-center wpex-justify-center\">Read the article <\/span><\/a><\/div> <div class=\"vcex-spacing wpex-w-100 wpex-clear\" style=\"height:60px;\"><\/div>[vc_column_text]\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>&#8220;Exploring the Significance of Legal Status on Refugees\u2019 and Asylum Seekers\u2019 Access to Health Care in Germany\u2014A Mixed-Method Study&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A study in the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">International Journal of Public Health<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> investigates the significance of legal status for well-being and access to and use of needs-based health care by asylum seekers and refugees in Germany.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Based on MIPEX data, the authors demonstrate that the legal status determines experiences of structural violence that can negatively affect well-being and associated access to health care. \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An insecure legal status can affect access to health care for refugees and asylum seekers.
