It is with\u00a0great\u00a0<\/span>sadness that we share the news of the sudden passing, on June 8th, of Barbara Cohen, a cherished friend and long-time supporter of the Migration Policy Group.
\u00a0
Barbara’s passion for her work was truly remarkable. As early as the 1990s, she played a vital role and\u00a0was heavily involved in\u00a0the\u00a0Starting Line Group initiative\u00a0when MPG was drafting a proposal for a European directive aimed at fighting racial and ethnic discrimination.

Throughout the years, Barbara and MPG maintained close collaboration and friendship. Particularly through her involvement\u00a0with MPG\u00a0<\/span>in numerous training programs across different countries for\u00a0a wide range of different actors ranging from grassroots to the judiciary sector.

Barbara made a difference and left a mark on all those she worked with. She\u00a0brought passion, impressive expertise and also joy to everything she did.

This is a great loss to all of us and Barbara will be remembered fondly. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her daughters and family during this difficult time.<\/span><\/div>\n
