MPG equips EU government representatives with new indicators and analysis to help foster political participation<\/h2>\n

A common thread across MPG’s many projects is the effort to make the political participation of migrants a top priority for all.<\/p>\n

Along with the December launch of its Political Participation Policy Index 2024<\/a>, MPG is also working on an upcoming analysis mapping the best practices in involving migrants and migrant-led organisations in the policymaking across the EU. The analysis entitled \u2018The Participation of Migrants in the Design and Implementation of Integration-Relevant Policies: Approaches and Practices in EU Member States\u2019 will soon be published on the European Website on Integration (EWSI)<\/a>, which MPG runs for the European Commission (EC).<\/p>\n

On 9 December, the European Commission invited MPG to present a sneak peak of the upcoming analysis and the new set of participation indicators at the European Integration Network (EIN). The EIN network brings together representatives of the national ministries in charge of integration from all the 27 EU countries, as well as Iceland and Norway. EIN members often play a key role in the use of EU funds for integration on a national level, as well as in shaping integration policies.<\/p>\n

Taking part in the EIN meeting \u2013 an event closed to the public \u2013 was a chance for MPG to equip the EU country representatives with new tools for measuring and comparing the level of political participation in their countries.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”13181″][vc_column_text][\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_empty_space][vc_separator][\/vc_column][vc_column][vc_column_text]\n
