[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”8809″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In January 2022, MPG released the Pilot Report \u201cTargeted technical support to implementation of Action \u2018Facilitating Evidence-based Integration in Cities.\u201d The research shows <\/span>how integration outcomes of migrants differ throughout EU regions, and how this is influenced by national-level integration policies.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Report has been coordinated by MPG and KU Leuven University for the Partnership on the Inclusion of Migrants and Refugees of the Urban Agenda for the EU.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Recently, Giacomo Solano, MPG’s Head of Research, was interviewed about the research. In the interview, he explores the main objectives and the outcomes of the research as well as the role of policies in shaping these outcomes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

David De Coninck PhD is a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Sociological Research at KU Leuven (Belgium). His research interests include public perceptions towards migrants\/migration, media effects, and the role of integration policies. He holds a PhD in the Social Sciences from KU Leuven.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Giacomo Solano PHD<\/a> is Head of Research at the Migration Policy Group (MPG). His research interests include the comparative analysis of migration and integration statistics and policies (in particular, in the EU) and labour market integration of migrants (e.g., migrant entrepreneurship). He holds a PhD joint degree in Sociology from the University of Amsterdam and University of Milan-Bicocca.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Shauni Van Doren is a PhD student at the Center for Care Research and Consultancy (LUCAS) at KU Leuven (Belgium). She is currently working on her thesis about assessing the care needs of adults living at home.
