MPG has published its Impact Report 2025, reflecting on a year that also marked 30 years of advancing evidence-based migration, integration, and anti-discrimination policies across Europe. The report highlights MPG’s continued role in connecting research, policy debates, and practical action to support more inclusive and rights-based policymaking.

The report reflects on a year shaped by complex political and social challenges, highlighting MPG’s continued role in connecting research, policy debates, and practical action to support more inclusive and rights-based policymaking.

The report showcases MPG’s work across key areas in 2025, including the update of the Migrant Integration Policy Index (MIPEX) for all EU Member States and Canada, the launch of the first Migrant Return Policy Index (MIREX), and the development of the first SIRIUS Migrant Education Policy Index. Together, these initiatives strengthened Europe’s evidence base on migration, integration, equality, and education policies.

Throughout the year, MPG also contributed to major European debates on temporary protection, return policies, anti-racism, and civic participation, ensuring that discussions remained grounded in human rights and long-term thinking. The report highlights how MPG translated research into practice through local pilot initiatives, policy toolkits, stakeholder cooperation, and capacity-building programmes across Europe.

As part of its 30th anniversary, MPG gathered reflections from policymakers, researchers, civil society partners, and long-standing collaborators across Europe. Their contributions underline MPG’s role over the past three decades in building bridges between research, institutions, and communities, while helping shape key European equality and anti-discrimination frameworks.

The report also highlights MPG’s growing networks and outreach in 2025, including 43 publications, 38 presentations, 206 partners, and activities covering 104 countries.

MPG remains committed to promoting equality, inclusion, and human rights through independent research, strategic partnerships, and practical policy solutions at both the European and local levels.
