What happens after their initial reception? The European Website on Integration (EWSI) tracks the early integration of refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine.

The EU and its citizens quickly provided support to those fleeing the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Outside of the initial reception and assistance at the EU borders, however, how will refugees’ integration needs be addressed?

The European Website on Integration (EWSI) started tracking updates on the early integration measures taken across the EU in a special publication . The piece is regularly updated by the MPG editorial team and our network of country experts.

The website also published a summary of the 23 March announcement of the European Commission on the concrete integration actions, including in terms of financing, which the EU will take to ensure refugees have full access to education, healthcare, accommodation and employment.
