Volunteers can work in person and/or remotely. The role is open to those residing outside the European Union.
Your main responsibilities:
- Assist with the promotion and dissemination of reports, policy briefs and other research outputs of MPG
- Contribute to MPG’s social media presence
- Compile MPG’s monthly newsletter in Active Campaign
- Create and update content for MPG’s website and social media channels
Your qualifications:
- You have experience using communication tools and software (Canva), social media channels (Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn), email newsletter software (ActiveCampaign), and WordPress or are eager to develop your skills in this field
- You have excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
- You are proactive, work independently as well as part of a team and have an eye for detail
You will get:
- A volunteering contract with a monthly volunteer compensation of €250 per month for 2 days of work per week
- Supervision, training and mentoring provided by MPG’s communications manager to support you in developing hands-on online communications skills (website, newsletter, social media)
- Regular evaluation and feedback on your work to grow your skills
- Opportunity to gain a good understanding of an established organisation working at EU level
- Experience working with people from different backgrounds in an international and multidisciplinary working environment
