“Mainstreaming immigrant integration in Labour Market Support: policy index and alternative policy frameworks”
The paper by Salta Zhumatova explores integration policies with a specific focus on mainstreaming labor market policies and their implications for various groups of immigrants. To understand these policy patterns, the author developed a Policy Index of Mainstreaming in Labour Market Support, which covered data from 2006 to 2016 across 25 EU/EEA countries. For this research, data from the Eurostat LMP database, the Migration Integration Policy Index (MIPEX), the European Commission’s qualitative reports on labor market policy, and Public Employment Service (PES) websites in each EU country were utilized.
“Understanding public support for workplace diversity and antidiscrimination policies in Europe”
About the Migration Policy Group (MPG)
MPG is an independent think-and-do-tank based in Brussels. MPG’s purpose is rooted in its ability to inspire networks to provide evidence-based projects, research and campaigns in the areas of integration, migration and anti-discrimination.
The paper by Lieselotte Blommaert and Marcel Coenders provides a comprehensive analysis of citizen’s perspectives on workplace diversity policies in Europe, aiming to understand the factors that shape public support for such initiatives. To do this, the authors consider factors at both the individual and national levels to understand how conditions related to these levels influence public support. Furthermore, the Migration Integration Policy Index (MIPEX) has been utilized to provide additional data on national-level inequality, as well as specific details concerning each country’s labor market and anti-discrimination legislation and policies.
