The is a unique tool which measures integration policies in 56 countries across 8 policy areas. It provides up-to-date, comprehensive research data and analysis on which to base policies, proposals for change and projects.

Besides data on national integration policies, MPG  now also gather data on policies at the regional – Regin (MIPEX-R) – and local levels – Whole-COMM (MIPEX-L).

“Yet Another Crisis? Syrian Refugee Children and Turkish Education System in Turbulence”

This study explores the current and future challenges faced by Syrian refugee children (SRC) in the Turkish education system, based on the perspectives of teachers and administrators. Ineffective strategies by school administrations further exacerbate these challenges, negatively affecting Syrian students’ academic success and access to quality education. With the growing Syrian refugee population, the study warns of potential future problems, including increased segregation and decreased education funding, and stresses the important role of teachers in shaping Syrians’ future integration in Türkiye.

This article examines the development and use of indicators for subnational comparative policy analysis, using migrant integration as a case study. It explores the research process involved in creating and implementing these indicators to compare policies at the regional level. It offers insights into the complexities of analyzing policies at the subnational level in migration research.

” The production of “evidence” for migrant integration policy in the European Union “

This article explores how the European Union (EU) promotes evidence-based policymaking in the area of migrant integration. It examines the structures and processes by which research, data, and expertise are produced and used to inform governance, asking what counts as “evidence” and whose expertise is prioritized. The article finds that the EU’s approach makes social scientific knowledge crucial for managing migrant integration as both a measurable and shared European issue. It also raises questions about the implications of this knowledge production for governing racialised and migranticised populations.

Building a Set of Indicators to Assess Migrant Children’s Integration in Europe: A Co-Creation Approach

This article addresses the integration of refugee and migrant children, a critical challenge for Europe’s social cohesion, and the lack of tools to measure and promote their integration. It introduces a new child-centered system of indicators designed to assess and monitor integration across European countries, guiding policymakers and stakeholders. The system is holistic, considering various dimensions of integration, including subjective and objective factors, and is developed through a co-creative methodology involving children and stakeholders. The result is a set of 14 indicators for integration outcomes and 16 indicators for barriers and facilitators, offering a comprehensive tool for evaluating and improving integration efforts.
