MPG helps the EU Commission track progress on the EU Action plan on integration and inclusion

MPG published on the European Website on Integration (EWSI), which it manages for the European Commission (EC), a tracker following the progress made under the EU Action plan on integration and inclusion.

The action plan is the EC’s comprehensive document guiding migrant integration efforts across the EU over the 2021-2027 period. It includes numerous actions and initiatives aimed to promote integration and spans across key areas of integration, including education, employment, health and housing. The plan also promotes the additional use of EU funds for integration, building stronger partnerships among integration stakeholders, enhancing the use of technologies, and fostering political participation.

The document also pays special attention to second- and third-generation migrants, providing further opportunities for integration. Through the tracker, MPG also supports the EC’s efforts in evaluating the work under the action plan in light of its upcoming 2025 mid-term review. The tracker also publicises the many initiatives made possible thanks to the action plan. The tools is therefore useful to EU officials, as well as all other integration practitioners and policymakers involved in the field of migrant integration.

The progress tracker, which also comes in a mobile-friendly version, is divided into interactive sections tracking the developments in different integration areas. It will be updated every 4 months. Explore the tool and subscribe to the EWSI newsletter for its future updates.

About the European Website on Integration (EWSI)

EWSI is the only EU-wide source bringing up-to-date information and good practices on migrant integration for policy makers and practitioners. MPG started working on the creation of EWSI for the EC’s Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs (DG HOME) in 2007, and has been running the project ever since, with website visits increasing exponentially over the past few years.
