MPG seeks strategic Board Member to drive resource development

MPG is looking for a new Board Member specialising in resource development. This strategic role aims to enhance MPG’s financial sustainability and expand its impact across Europe and beyond.

For over 30 years, MPG has been a trusted partner to major institutions such as the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Council of Europe, and UNHCR. With expertise in fundraising, strategic partnerships, and financial growth, the selected candidate will support MPG in securing new funding streams, engaging philanthropic donors, and forging high-impact collaborations with governmental and civil society organisations.

“We are entering an exciting phase of growth, and securing sustainable funding is key to amplifying our influence in migration policy,” said Isabelle Chopin, MPG’s Director. “This role is an opportunity for a dynamic leader to shape the future of MPG and contribute to meaningful change.”

The Board Member for resource development will:

  • Develop and implement MPG’s fundraising strategy, focusing on core funding and strategic donor relationships.
  • Leverage networks to identify funding opportunities and advocate for MPG’s mission within philanthropic and governmental spheres.
  • Support MPG in forming and sustaining strategic partnerships to enhance impact and sustainability.
  • Provide governance and strategic oversight as an active member of MPG’s Board.
  • Act as an ambassador for MPG, raising its profile among key stakeholders and decision-makers.

Who Should Apply?

MPG is seeking a highly connected and experienced professional in fundraising, particularly within the migration, social justice, or human rights sectors. Ideal candidates should have:

  • A proven track record in securing philanthropic support and strategic funding partnerships.
  • Strong networks within donor communities, foundations, and international institutions.
  • A passion for migration, integration, and anti-discrimination issues.
  • A collaborative and solution-driven leadership style.

This is a voluntary position with an expected commitment of two to three Board meetings per year (one in person) and ongoing strategic engagement in fundraising efforts.

A Unique opportunity for impact

Joining MPG’s Board offers a rare chance to shape migration and integration policy at a crucial time in Europe. As a Board Member, you will directly contribute to MPG’s financial and strategic development, ensuring its continued success as a leading advocate for inclusive policies.
