Rewatch our webinar on effective messaging to get-out-the-vote

To make European democracy inclusive the votes of New Europeans are crucial. In the past decade, approximately five million newcomers from outside the EU acquired citizenship of a member state. Over eleven million EU citizens of voting age currently live in another EU country. For these New Europeans, policies decided at the EU level have a very real impact on their everyday lives. But for various reasons, New Europeans often do not find their way to the ballot box.

On May 23, 2024, the Migration Policy Group held a New Europeans Initiative – VoteEuropa webinar. The event focused on various aspects of past campaigns, including effective messaging and actions, areas for improvement, and key lessons learned. Additionally, the webinar discussed strategies for the final push to increase voter turnout, ensuring that a diverse array of views, perspectives, needs, hopes, and aspirations are represented in the upcoming elections
