Migrant Integration Hub (MIH)

Highlights

In May 2025, MPG helped the European Commission (EC) launch the Migrant Integration Hub (MIH) – the successor of the former European Website on Integration (EWSI). The hub, nested within the website of the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs (DG HOME), continues to be the most comprehensive information source on migrant integration in the EU, bringing facts and updates from the 27 EU countries.

MPG has been running the project for the European Commission since the hub’s creation in 2007 – then under the name of the European Website on Integration (EWSI). The website is the only EU-wide source bringing up-to-date information and good practices on migrant integration for policy-makers and practitioners.

Coordinating a network of 27 integration experts across the EU, MPG has since led on both the content and technical development of the website, catering to the evolving needs of integration stakeholders. Over the past six years in particular, MPG and its network of partners focused on adding more and increasingly newsworthy content. As a result, the visits to the website mark an increase of up to 120% per year. In late 2021, MPG and the European Commission also launched a brand new website. In 2025, MPG again played a pivotal role in the transformation of the website into the Migrant Integration Hub (MIH).
