MPG has been running the project for the European Commission since the hub’s creation in 2007 – then under the name of the European Website on Integration (EWSI). The website is the only EU-wide source bringing up-to-date information and good practices on migrant integration for policy-makers and practitioners.

Coordinating a network of 27 integration experts across the EU, MPG has since led on both the content and technical development of the website, catering to the evolving needs of integration stakeholders. Over the past six years in particular, MPG and its network of partners focused on adding more and increasingly newsworthy content. As a result, the visits to the website mark an increase of up to 120% per year. In late 2021, MPG and the European Commission also launched a brand new website. In 2025, MPG again played a pivotal role in the transformation of the website into the Migrant Integration Hub (MIH).

Under its new guise, the hub continues to provide:

• integration news from across the 27 EU countries as well as transnational and EU-level updates
• one of the largest collections of recent good practices on integration
• the only all-in-one country pages dedicated to the governance of migrant integration in each of the EU countries
• special EU-wide analyses written by MPG and the network of country experts
• relevant documents and publications curated by the network of experts
• a specially developed tracker of the progress on the implementation of the EU’s Action plan on integration and inclusion 2021-2027
• an overview of the EU’s work on migrant integration
