This publication compares Protocol 12 and the Racial Equality Directive in order to identify their differences and similarities.
The report shows that these instruments are complementary to each other. It also draws attention to other legislative developments at the level of the EU that are relevant to the fight against discrimination, namely those in the field of public procurement.
The publication is the third in a series published jointly by the Commission for Racial Equality in Britain and the MPG. The series aims to promote a well-informed debate on anti-discrimination legislation in Europe and may serve as a tool to monitor and influence the process of transposing European standards into national law. The series also explores how the European anti-discrimination legislative agenda can be further developed.
Jointly published by MPG and the Commission for Racial Equality.
